Gingerbread for Christmas

Gingerbread cookies and Christmas holiday baking go hand in hand. It appears you cannot have one without the other! Even children have built in sensors that alert them to this phenomenon. My son announced that it was Gingerbread cookie time and that we simply had to have some, to begin getting into the festive spirit. I turned to my beautiful Hummingbird Bakery cookbook for this recipe. The cookies were delicious and hardly lasted the day! So I think we could safely say that the holiday spirit was upon us! Next on the list will probably be the Gingerbread house. I’ll keep you posted!
